What is a really good shampoo & conditioner for extremely damaged hair?

i have extremely damaged hair. i used to straighten my hair everyday with the chi back in high school, but i still never dyed my hair. I don't straighten,curl or blow dry my hair hair anymore and its so damaged to the point where if you bend my hair, it snaps off! I don't even have split ends. please recommend me a brand that most of us are familiar with and that i could find at target/wal-mart.What is a really good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for extremely damaged hair?

Also you need to go every 4-6 weeks and get your hair trimmed. If your hair is like you say it is then it will never heal or grow till the dead hair is cut off. I am sure you have already been told this. Also go once a week and get a deep conditioning treatment at a salon. Damaged hair needs lots of care and can get expensive. Make sure you never brush or comb it while it is wet, never sleep on it wet, never put it in a pony tail wet. Use silk drops on it after it dry's.

All you can really do is get the damaged part cut off -- you cannot heal or repair damaged hair, no matter WHAT the label and commercial say.


Hair is dead material -- it doesn't heal, it doesn't eat, it can't be nourished. Hot oil (or mayonnaise) only makes it LOOK better -- until the oil is washed off.
ok! i know this is going to sound weird but putting mayonnaise in your hair before your shower and apply roots to tips, then put a plastic bag around your hair then a warm towel wait 15-20 Min's and then rinse your hair, then wash it with your normal shampoo until it is completely out then conditioner it! TRUST ME!!! IT WORKS!!!!!
