What exectly does radiant brunette shampoo and conditioner do for your hair?

I just bought it. does it make your hair stay the same color or does it help to make it darker? What exectly does radiant brunette shampoo and conditioner do for your hair?
It makes your hair very shiny and light. Aswell depending on the one you bought it will slowly make your hair seem darker (by bringing out your darker highlights that are natural) or the other way around making it lighterWhat exectly does radiant brunette shampoo and conditioner do for your hair?
It doesn't do much to the color, unfortunately. I've used it and there was no significant difference in the color of my hair, and I'm a natural brunette.
it makes your hair clean and shiny.

I have just washed my hair with shampoo and it has gone very dry?

any help you can give me for it not looking dry and dull thanksI have just washed my hair with shampoo and it has gone very dry?
So have you never washed your hair with shampoo before?? Maybe you bought a really cheap brand that stripped your hair - did you use conditioner after?I have just washed my hair with shampoo and it has gone very dry?
My hair always goes dry after washing - you may have a problem retaining oils. I only wash mine once a week due to this problem, it should be more or less normal the same time tomorrow. Look for an extra hydrating shampoo and condition combo, like pantene.
when you shower wash your hair first then apply conditioner and let that sit on your hair for duration of shower. wash your hair every other day, not every day, because that will dry your hair out more. then afterwards apply a leave-in conditioner.
You need to pay attention on which shampoo you use, it should be pH nuetro and fruit base and try a locion Ziravie which will nourish and hydrate your scalp and strengthen your hair roots.
Well if you have used conditioner it will probably and most likely the type of shampoo you are using like i use shampoo that highlights my natural blonde so you might need to find one with a protection or for dry hair.
if you just use shampoo, of course your hair is going to be dry. the shampoo removes the natural oil from your hair, so you'll need to restore that by using conditioner.
My hair used to look dry after shampooing too! Then I tried Hydra TLC by Sunsilk. It's about $3 and leaves my hair soft and moisturized! I also follow up with Aussie 3 Minute Miracle- it it helps soften and smooth hair.

Hope I helped!

you may have over rinsed it. try shampooing again, but don't rinse it so well, and use conditioner after, comb thru, and rinse with cold water. there you have it, soft hair.
Well I would use conditioner too. Switch shampoo too. I suggest pantene. I would then go to the drug store and buy some products that defrizz your hair.
use deep conditioner as well and leave it on for 15 mins and only wash your hair 2 times a week and let it air dry
Use conditioner as well.
always use conditioner after shampoo, and use the right type of shampoo for your hair wether it is greasy dry...et.c

What is the absolute BEST professional salon shampoo for color treated hair?

price does not matter.what is the BEST shampoo? What is the absolute BEST professional salon shampoo for color treated hair?
there is no ABSOLUTE best shampoo. even for color treated hair. EVERYONE's hair is completely different and one shampoo that is the best for one person could damage your hair. don't buy anything other than shampoo from a salon. if you go to your local salon (not cost cutters or cheap ones like that) one of the stylists will take a look at your hair (if you know the dye you used that will help) and recommend the best shampoo for youWhat is the absolute BEST professional salon shampoo for color treated hair?
Garnea Fructis IS realllllly good for color treated hair. The salo told me if I didnt want to spend 30 per bottle that this was the best thing for it! If you do want to spend a lot . You can try any Bed head product. It reallly works well.
Nioxen
Aveda Color Conserve Shampoo, Conditioner %26amp; Treatment - uses natural ingredients to keep your color from fading. AND smells yummy and clean.

When we shampoo and dry our hair, it usually leaves a very dry look on the hair. is there a shampoo?

is there a shampoo which actually leaves the hair smooth and wavy like they show in ads? how good is pantene btw? When we shampoo and dry our hair, it usually leaves a very dry look on the hair. is there a shampoo?
Most shampoos contain a drying ingredient called SLS (some kind of laurel sulfate) and this is what dries out the hair. Find shampoos that are free of sulfates, specifically SLS. Organic shampoos don't contain this ingredients. Also, if not organic, then try a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. I've tried Dove Intense Moisture conditioner, and this dries out my hair more than my organic shampoo, so I wouldn't recommend this. I do have a VO5 Moisture Milk shampoo that works very well on my hair and helps my hair retain as much moisture, if not more, as the organic shampoo. All shampoos are not created equal so you might have to buy a few before you find the right one.

Also, you can do a hot oil treatment before you shampoo and this will leave your hair moisturized if it's very dry. I use extra virgin olive oil from the grocery store and warm it up and massage it through my hair and scalp for about 5 minutes, rinse and then shampoo/condition. My hair is shinier, curlier, stronger, smoother and silkier when I'm finished. It also tames my massive frizz. I'm so suprized that I have litterally no frizz after I do a hot oil treatment and before that I have a head full of annoying frizz. Do this regularly and it repairs damaged hair and you'll start seeing results after a while. When we shampoo and dry our hair, it usually leaves a very dry look on the hair. is there a shampoo?
Most store bought products will leave a heavy residue on your hair or even scalp. In the first to weeks of use it seems that the shampoo is everything you were looking for. but the residue will build up leaving the hair looking dull greasy and weighted down.

You best bet is to go to a stylist that has good product knowledge so they have a chance to analyise your hair and give you the basic knowledge of how to care for you hair without trying to get you to spend a million dollars.

Before drying your hair go ahead and apply a leave-in conditioner

To add shine you can add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar to your conditioner (the smells goes away when your hair is completely dry)
I always get great results from Pantene Classic Care line. Perhaps you aren't rinsing enough? Also, try leaving your conditioner on for up to 5 minutes before rinsing.

Pantene also has come out with a new line called ';Highlighting Expressions';. It's different from their color Expressions line. I love this shampoo and conditioner! It leaves my hair silky, shiny and so soft, I can't stop touching it. It also brings out any color highlights you may have in your hair, natural or not.

Hope this helps.
First of all, I think dat yur shampoo dusn't suit yur hair!

A shampoo must suit a hair to keep it silky nd soft.

Plz change yur shampoo if it really makes yur hair feel dry cz further use of d same shampoo might damage yur hair!!!

I hv never tried Pantene but if it suits yur hair-type, its the best for yu!

Nd plz.....watevr yu see in the ads is NOT true!!!

Nd if yu dnt find a suitable shampoo, try applying sum hair-oil immediately after yu wash yur hair. Dnt let yur hair bcum dry....apply a very little amount of oil on wet hair nd after the hair dry up jst simply comb them!

Btw i use Garnier Fructis Fortifying Shampoo.

Yu may try using the same but for Dry And Dull Hair.
look i'll tell u the best shampoo which is dove!!!!! it's a good experience with me, as earlier i was also not having good hair they were dry so, i tried dove shampoo .. now my hairs look gorgious and its my real experience my friend just try it for 3 washes. and then that's my challenge u will be thankfull to me so just go ahead and try it once

!!!!!!!best of luckkkk!!!!!!
Maybe your drying it on a too high heat setting. You should always use a shampoo and conditioner that will protect your hair from heat damage, like Thermasilk. I recommend if possible to let your hair air dry as much as possible and then blow-dry. That way you don't cause as much damage.
Head and shoulders moisturizing...

I know you're thinking it's that for dandruff? Haha, well yeah, but i use it because it makes my hair not so dry.
well dont go accrding 2 da ads.....they r vry much misleading...!!but if u hav really dry hair then i suggest u go for dove coz it really mosturzes ur hair that othr shampoos also go da natural way and apply oil before shampooing........
I use herbal essences.. the blue coconut one is the best. My hair is so shiny and soft and it works on my sisters too and she has complete different hair type to me :) Plus its smells delish :) Hope i helped x

  • Is there a shampoo that REALLY helps your hair get straight?

I've always used regular shampoos that say ';for straight hair,'; but I never get any results! Is there a real shampoo/conditioner or cream that helps make your hair straight? Is there a shampoo that REALLY helps your hair get straight?
If you buy a shampoo that says ';for straight hair'; that means that you HAVE straight hair, not that your curls become straight....

I was looking for the same shampoo and as i have curly hair the only one that helped me was HERBAL ESSENCES cause it made my hair lighter....

But sure that depends on your hair quality and how much curly ur hair is..

xIs there a shampoo that REALLY helps your hair get straight?
You said you have used them and they don't work. So I guess they don't. I find that they are too heavy on my hair and too much serum which make it oily cos that is the way to get curly hair straight so they add too much crap into the shampoo to help your hair straighten. I think your best bet is to get it straightened permanatly at a salon which is sooo great, I do it every year and don't have to worry about my hair for that year, just shampoo, condition and it dries straight, sometimes I use the hairdryer to speed up the drying process and just use my fingers and not even a brush so it's super quick.

It does cost a bit of money between $400-600 but you save a lot in the long run cos you don't have to buy products to help keep your hair straight.
Yes! Or it least works for me and I have really curly/wavy hair. It's called Nexus Sleek Style, calming and smoothing cream. When you get out of the shower rub some on your hair. If that doesn't work blow dry your hair straight. That also works for me. Good Luck=)
Theirs a special product that relaxes your hair that you can get. You can find it in most stores in the hair dye aisle where the products for african american hair products are. I would not recommend using this if you have no idea what your doing.
Nope, thoes shampoos are for people with naturall staright hair and just want to develope it more, i mean i guess youll just have to use a hair starightner for now cause no shampoos help starighten hair.
HERBAL ESSENCES!!! Smells great too!!! :)!! Heres the link to the Shampoo:]

    http://www.herbalessences.com/us/collections/dangerously_straight/
I wish, I figured the more shampoo = the straighter.. look at my hair this very second.. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/4376/091007204952.png
No. But you can blow dry or straighten your hair. Or you can get shampoo that makes your hair full and the it might fall stright.
nope. they just tell you that

    so you can buy it
yeah i think it is this shampoo called alphogee that makes your hair straight but you need to have to buy the conditioner or it wont work
Nope, those shampoos are for people with naturally straight hair who want to enhance their locks.
i don't think so. my friend uses herbal essences dangerously straight and it works a bit on her but doesn't work at all on me.
the shampoos that say for straight hair are for people WITH straight hair. get loreal *****
    No, I don't think so.
    it's called a weave
YES YES!!! i swear try the KIRATIN asian shampoo it really works!!!!!!

Is it true that if you use shampoo in your hair everyday will you lose your hair when your 30?

I heard that if you wash your hair ever day, you will lose or your hair will turn grey when you are 30? Is This True?Is it true that if you use shampoo in your hair everyday will you lose your hair when your 30?
Washing your hair everyday isnt good for your hair.

It makes your hair dry, damaged, and it does make you lose hair over the years. But it WON';T turn your hair gray when you're thirty. That is totally not true.

Its better to wash your hair every other day.

My sister is a hair stylist so I know what im talking about

What can I use in my hair to add volume to dry hair? I tried the volume shampoo but hate it. The hair spray ?

What is the best shampoo for both straight and curly hair?

I have curly semi curly hair and straighten it often and sometimes I wear it curly depending on the weather. I dont want to have to buy two different kinds of shampoo and conditioners. What is the best shampoo products for both? What is the best shampoo for both straight and curly hair?
anything organic...never use the junk w/ chemicals in them:)What is the best shampoo for both straight and curly hair?
Because you straighten it and because you'll want sleek bouncy curls I'd go with a moisturizing shampoo. No need for two different shampoos or conditioners. So I'd suggest either Biolage or Kerastase. Biolage being the cheaper of the too. Biolage is sold at Target and other drug stores as well as beauty supply stores. Kerastase is sold mainly at hair salons. I have also seen it at Nordstrom Rack for alot cheaper.

    Hope this helps.

  • What is a good shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair?

I recently dyed my hair from blonde back to my natural color light-medium brown, what would be the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair? I want one that is for color treated hair. Thanks in advance for all answers! What is a good shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair?
Redken has a great line for color treated hair, as does Biolage.

Just make sure you buy the products from licensed salons, not CVS or anything like that, because its usually counterfit or expired.

The best thing for getting hair back to that ';never been dyed'; look and feel is QUALITY shampoo, not something cheap that causes buildup and ultimately makes matters worse. What is a good shampoo and conditioner for color treated hair?
My hair dresser recommended Neutrogena. She told me that those expensive salon shampoos have chemicals we just don't need to put in our hair, their just there to make it smell pretty. I have been happy with Neutrogena.
kerastase shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair.
I personslly use L'Oreal. It was recommended by my hairdresser and she's mobile so doesn't get anything by recommending.
Well it depends on what colour hair you have got. But because you have light-medium brown hair you should try pantene pro-v! :-)
Pantene Pro V for Color Treated Hair works great! it makes it so soft and helps it to not be as damaged. hope this helps =]

What is the best shampoo to use to make your hair grow longer?

No matter what kind of shampoo I try my hair never grows! Can someone please help me?What is the best shampoo to use to make your hair grow longer?
The simple answer is that shampoo has nothing to do with IMPROVING hair growth, however the overuse of shampoo can damage your hair by removing the oils that make it supple.

When I say oils, I am not talking about leaving your hair oily - I am talking about the oils that are naturally in your hair strands that allow your hair to remain supple. Once those are stripped by shampoo overuse they don't tend to return to the hair strand. Without that natural oil, your hair can become quite fragile, and can break off at the ends with even simple brushing making it appear as if your hair is not growing.

If you want long hair, be prepared to take good care of your body. Eat well, sleep well, stay free of disease, and avoid the sun, or perming, coloring, blow-drying your hair, or dragging a brush through knots. Use a good quality conditioner every time you shampoo, and shampoo less frequently.

    The much longer answer:

There would be two reasons why your hair doesn't appear to be growing (besides having it cut!)

    1. Your hair is being snapped off at the ends when you are brushing it. (dry or brittle hair, or pulling through knots)

    2. Your hair is already quite long, and your hair follicles simply die and the hair strand drops out - which is a natural process, and can only be altered by becoming younger or augmenting your hormone production (menopause can affect hair growth).

You can't do much about the second reason, so I will focus on the first.

Hair is a protein. Overuse of shampoo, bleaches, perms, coloring, hairdryers, sun exposure, etc damage hair protein. Hair protein breaks down due to this damage, and the hair becomes brittle, so when you brush this brittle hair the tips of the hair literally shatter like glass, and fall away.

Your diet is also a factor. Illness is too. If your hair is quite long, and you got over a serious illness even some years ago, or you went through a period of not treating yourself well, the hair your body made at that time is still on your head, and is fragile. When it breaks off it can appear as if your hair is not growing. What is the best shampoo to use to make your hair grow longer?
the act of shampooing can help stimulate hair growth by massaging the scalp with your finger tips, making blood and nutrients move to the hair follicles
I agree Main and Tail is very good...but also you can take prenatal vitamins..
your hair can't grow from shampoos

all you need to do is be less stressful (if there is stress in your life) sleep more and be in the dark more then usual
    hair Crack
    i use main and tail

and my hair has been growing pretty fast

I have long blonde highlighted hair. I just want a good shampoo and conditioner that smells really good and makes your hair soft and shiney. What is the best shampoo for dry color treated blonde hair?
I would try the new L'Oreal EverPure line. They are 100% vegan, smell really good (like mint and other herbs like rosemary), and make your hair really soft (IMO). Also, since they don't have any chemicals in them, they won't fade your hair as fast. How often should guys shampoo/condition their hair?

Every day, twice a day... how often?? Whats best for you hairHow often should guys shampoo/condition their hair?
twice a day ? maybe if you are construction worker %26amp; get it full of dirt.

wash it when it gets oily or when you can't control it. I do it daily. Washing doesn't help the hair, just keeps it clean. try conditioner, you probably won't notice any difference unless you color it. How often should guys shampoo/condition their hair?
Well, I'm not a guy, but I should hope that you shampoo your hair at least once a day for good hygeine purposes. ;) As for conditioning, I guess that depends on the shape your hair is in.
Well I've got medium length hair, and I Shampoo it everyday and use Conditioner everyday. Try Garnier Fructis products, they are great. Keeps my hair strong, smooth and healthy.
as often as you want to

What is a really good shampoo & conditioner for extremely damaged hair?

i have extremely damaged hair. i used to straighten my hair everyday with the chi back in high school, but i still never dyed my hair. I don't straighten, curl or blow dry my hair hair anymore and its so damaged to the point where if you bend my hair, it snaps off! I don't even have split ends. please recommend me a brand that most of us are familiar with and that i could find at target/wal-mart.What is a really good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for extremely damaged hair?
Go to Sally's and buy shampoo called porosity. Trust me

Also you need to go every 4-6 weeks and get your hair trimmed. If your hair is like you say it is then it will never heal or grow till the dead hair is cut off. I am sure you have already been told this. Also go once a week and get a deep conditioning treatment at a salon. Damaged hair needs lots of care and can get expensive. Make sure you never brush or comb it while it is wet, never sleep on it wet, never put it in a pony tail wet. Use silk drops on it after it dry's.

Good LuckWhat is a really good shampoo %26amp; conditioner for extremely damaged hair?
All you can really do is get the damaged part cut off -- you cannot heal or repair damaged hair, no matter WHAT the label and commercial say.

Hair is dead material -- it doesn't heal, it doesn't eat, it can't be nourished. Hot oil (or mayonnaise) only makes it LOOK better -- until the oil is washed off.
ok! i know this is going to sound weird but putting mayonnaise in your hair before your shower and apply roots to tips, then put a plastic bag around your hair then a warm towel wait 15-20 Min's and then rinse your hair, then wash it with your normal shampoo until it is completely out then conditioner it! TRUST ME!!! IT WORKS!!!!!

I use biolage and about once a week before I rinse the conditioner out I pop a small towel in the microwave and wrap it in my hair for about 15 minutes. When I finally rinse it out omg it's like silk!
I would use a body boosting/voluming shampoo and a high moisturizing conditioner. Although more expensive brands work the best, I believe that Suave Professional line works just as well. Its okay to mix up brands as well. Dove has a great moisturizing conditioner that doesn't weigh your hair down. If you try these and your hair still is frizzy I would try John Frieda Frizz Ease. I hope I could help.

Can i condition my hair instead of shampoo my hair daily?

can i condition and wash out the conditioner would my hair be greasy? Can i condition my hair instead of shampoo my hair daily?
Yes you can! Some people find that their hair actually gets healthier because they're conditioning more, too. Shampoos contain sulfates that dry out your hair, and if you want to keep your hair clean and well conditioned then you might very well want to co-wash (conditioner wash) your hair more and use shampoo less.

When co-washing you should do it twice: The first time you should use the conditioner like you would shampoo, by squishing it around your hair to ';wash'; it. Rinse it. The second time you should use the conditioner for conditioning, that is let it sit in your hair for a few minutes. If you don't do both steps then you'll be neglecting something; either, you won't be cleaning your hair with the conditioner, or you won't be conditioning your hair because your hair won't be clean enough for the conditioner to penetrate your hair as a conditioner.

The only way to know if your hair would be greasy is to try it out. Even then you can try it with different conditioners and get different results or switch to an organic or natural shampoo that won't dry out your hair as much (they don't contain sulfates). You can also try a moisturizing shampoo that won't dry out your hair as much. If you want to stop using shampoo completely then there are no-shampoo lines of hair products. Wen is an example and has a cleansing conditioner that gets your hair clean like shampoo without drying it out. It's also a conditioner and deep conditioner all in one. Hair One is a generic version of Wen that's sold at Sally's Beauty Supply.

People with dry hair and curly hair types usually co-wash because curly hair usually gets dried out by over-shampooing. Also, with co-washing you'll eventually have to use shampoo because the conditioner can cause build-up. It doesn't get rid of everything in your hair, either, for instance, conditioner alone cannot get rid of mineral oil, so at some point you would have shampoo (or clarify) to get your hair completely clean, but conditioner can get rid of most ingredients/products that you put in your hair. Can i condition my hair instead of shampoo my hair daily?
I don't see the point on wetting the hair to put conditioner on it without shampooing. Don't shampoo every day if your hair doesn't need it (most doesn't) and there's no need to condition it either. If you have hair that tends to get greasy, it could and like I said, it's not necessary to condition for the sake of conditioning.
yes, and it might end up looking like this...

    http://www.mixedchicks.net/images/wendip鈥?/a>
Well yes, shampoo actually cleans it, doesn't it?

Why don't you just wash your hair every other day if you're going to do that?

Oh, and don't throw away the shampoos and conditioners that you don't like! I was thinking that you might want to check out Clean The World ( http://www.cleantheworld.org ) and perhaps send your used shampoos and conditioners to them via Central Care Mission. I'm a big fan of good hair products, but any that don't suit my fancy, or the tail ends of the shampoos and conditioners, get sent to them to help prevent disease and death in Third World countries.

I actually use the Dove Moisture (idk what its called exactly) 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner to wash my hair. Then I use pantene pro-v ice shine conditioner... it depends on what works best for you, but I found that this is what makes my hair smooth and soft. Just try out different combos, like what I've been doing.
i used to have really severe damadged hair and it was NOT soft. so my hairdresser suggested using a damaged repair shampoo. so i got the SUAVE DAMAGE CARE shampoo. i used it and in a week my hair was rlly soft and felt amazing like i never used a hair straightner in my life=]

I would recomend three shampoos my first is bain divalent by kerastase it will cleanse your roots as well as moistrising ends! My second is phytocedrat which cleanse your roots well this is also a 100% plant based product. Last we have paul mitchell number 2 which you can use as your first shampoo before your regular shampoo and conditioner. Also you need too try and stimulate your scalp less often eg less scrubbing when shampooing or less brushing of the hair.

id reccommend using herbal essencs for greasy roots and dry ends. to help prolong the time between washes i comb my hair between shampoo, rinsing, conditioning, rinsing. and id also recommend using the lee stafford hair protection spray before you dry your hair. its quite a lot of hassle but it saves me tme from having to wash my hair every single day, usually lasts two days
I would say definately Herbal Essences 'For greasy roots and Dry ends.' It works wonders for my hair as I am also a greasy hair sufferer. It can be found in a clear green bottle! More tips I would suggest, are; although it may be in the directions with some conditioners, only lather the part of your hair that you would put into a ponytail with conditioner. This will stop it from getting immediately greasy again. Also, although it's a shame, I find hats also make your hair greasy. And finally don't use too many other products on your hair!
neutrogena moisture balancing is fantastic! and best of all i can get it (and the conditioner) from poundland! (my favourite shop!!) You would think the last place a greasy head (like mine!) would need is moisture, but this shampoo is moisture balancing and works and absolute treat!!!!!
Lush's shampoo bar 'jumping juniper.' I have greasy roots and dry ends to my hair and it has really helped. Also the bars last ages! I have had mine for 4 months and wash my hair every other day. Give it a try.

Me and my mom just got a brand new ceramic hair straigtener! I dont like my curly hair, so im planning on straigtening my hair every few days so that my hair is always straight. What is the best shampoo/conditioner to keep my hair healthy and not damaged! What is the best shampoo/conditioner if you straighten your hair!?
This is going to sound crazy, but you do not have to spend big money on haircare. I have thick, coarse hair and my hair is very silky and healthy now. I buy a bottle of V05 moisturizing shampoo (Champagne Kiss or Strawberries and Cream) and the matching conditioner. Sometimes, I will buy Suave instead. I heat up some of the conditioner in a cup in the microwave until it is warm. I then wash my hair and apply the conditioner from my ears down and put it under a cap for awhile. After I have shaved and washed my body, I rinse out the conditioner. My hair is soft, shiny and healthy. All for under two dollars! I used to buy salon products but have found this works better. pantene ultra straight shampoo......that's what i use...and for conditioner i use tresseme......leave it in until ur done wahing ur body, shaving, washing ur face and then wash it out!! so smooth every time!!What is the best shampoo or conditioner for shiny, straight hair?
One time, I was at a friend's and took a shower there so I had to use whatever she had. It happened to be just some simple bottles of Garnier Nutriesse Shampoo and Conditioner. I have straight but frizzy hair, so I straightened it when it was just about dry, and my hair looked fabulous. I've always been searching for the right hair products thinking I had to pay money for my hair to look good, and I had no idea what simple shampoo and conditioner would actually work. I've used it ever since, but then again it also depends on how your own hair works and reacts to certain products.
ganier fructis has a line called sleek and shine i think it works well for the price its no 1 dollar a bottle but i think its like 2.?? so ya.but sometimes its not the shampoo and the conditioner they sell diffrent products as well that make your hair straight they actually have this spray that u just spray on your hair when your done with it and it shines a little
i agree with the first one too--pantene pro-v always smooth is really good. i also like redken smooth down. find something with beeswax in it.
i like herbal essences ';dangerously straight'; conditioner and Sunsilk ';therma shine'; shampoo. Using them both together makes my hair so shiny and easier to straighten

What's the best shampoo for healthy hair?

    (1) What's the best kind overall ?

    (2) What's the best kind that is cruelty free (not tested on animals) ?What's the best shampoo for healthy hair?
Herbal essenses. They have new lines with cool design and formulated for certain hair types. (this is overall)What's the best shampoo for healthy hair?
There really isn't a right answer for this, you have to use the product that works best for your unique type of hair. For instance, I use hair colors, so I use shampoo and conditioners specifically formulated for color treated hair.

As far as products not tested on animals, most products in your local drug store claim not to be tested on animals, so there you go. Good Luck, I hope that was helpful.

What is the best shampoo and conditioner for my colored hair?

My hair is naturally brown, but I have it dyed black, with a red streak and my bangs are also red.

I'm wondering what is the best Shampoo and Conditioner for what I'm aiming for, which is:

    %26gt; EXTREMELY soft hair

%26gt; My colors to stay vibrant looking

Basically I am more concerned about getting products that don't strip out my color. Soft hair is also important to me. Any help is appreciated. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for my colored hair?
Red is the most difficult color to keep in the hair. you're in luck though because the rest of your hair is black..which means you can use a colored conditioner. I like Aveda. They have products that keep the integrity of your hair with certified organic ingredients. Use the Color Conserve Shampoo and Conditioner for regular use. As a once a week treatment...use the Color Conserve Strenghtening Treatment to keep it softer, stronger and healthier. Now...Aveda makes ';Personal Blends'; products. You get to choose your aroma out of 12 different options and they will mix your appropriate color red into the bottle to maintain that tone in between your touch ups. I used to be a redhead and it kept my color from fading. Because the rest of your hair is black...it won't matter if there's red color in your conditioner as it won't black can't be colored without bleach anyway. What is the best shampoo and conditioner for my colored hair?
I've been dying my hair various colors for about 8 years, and the best thing I've discovered is washing/rinsing your hair with cold water. I KNOW it makes for quite the annoying shower experience, but it makes a huge difference. You could use a shower cap to keep your hair protected from the heat during the rest of your shower. Also, since heat strips moisture, when you go to rinse the shampoo or conditioner out of your hair with the cold water, it always feels smooth and sleek! My fave salon shampoo conditioner is LOGICS color nourishing, and it smells great!

    Either way, I would definitely recommend a color-protecting shampoo/conditioner from a salon.

My red highlights are still vibrant and I got them 3 months ago!
loreal vive pro for colored hair.

It seems that all the shampoos for blonde hair only mention that they keep your colour from fading etc but I want one that keeps colour vibrant AND keeps hair soft and prevents it from drying out.

Are there any anybody could recommend that does both these things?

Thanks! What is the best shampoo and conditioner for highlighted dry hair?

Hope it helps! :DWhat is the best shampoo and conditioner for highlighted dry hair?
The best thing to do for highlighted hair is use a deep conditioner by l'oreal or kerestase, which are specially formulated for coloured hair - this will help dry hair from becoming frazzeled and, well, dry! Then use a anti-brassiness shampoo once a week to keep the highlights looking a natural blonde colour rather than orange. I would then use the John Frieda Sheer blonde colour protect shampoo and condtioner for all your other in between washes.

What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?

My hair get greasy easily. I need a new shampoo for straight thick hair. I want the scent to be a good smelling scent thats strong and last all day. Because my hair is so thick it is a little hard to wash some shampoos out. I also like conditioners those can be real tough to wash out. Any suggestions??What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?
SUNSILK the BLUE one it helps flatten your thick hair..What is the best shampoo to use for straight thick hair?
I have very thick also, and I use a shampoo conditioner combo. It really helps with the thickness also. One other trick. Once a week, use a clarifying shampoo. It cleans the buildup out of your hair from excessive oils and hair products. It will help immensely. I use Pert Plus with conditioner at least 4 times a week. Usually twice a week I use Pantene Clarifying Shampoo. It'll work. Good luck!
Garinei Fructis...Sorry about the spelling, but it works VERY well with that kind of hair. I just recently cut mine short, but before i did it was increadible! It even helps keep it straight with some kinds of it!

What happens when we forget to rinse all the shampoo out of our hair?

Anyone know? What happens when we forget to rinse all the shampoo out of our hair?
It will get really flaky, like you have bad dandruff, and make your hair very dry. What happens when we forget to rinse all the shampoo out of our hair?
It will get flaky, and it will ITCH. Quite badly. If you do this repeatedly, chunks of your scalp will come up, though I think partially from the itching. Just rinse. No experimentation needed (it's already been done lol).
    It will be all sticky.
it rinses out the next time you shower. .
You get all of the rhea's

    ex.(ghonnorhea, diahrea, etc.rhea.)
Your hair might be a little greasy. That's all. It will probably dry up when you dry your hair off.
It will feel gummy and soapy.
it will get flaky when it drys up

How do you make the scent of your shampoo/conditioner stay in your hair for a couple hours?

Does it help to wash it in the morning? Keeping in mind that I always wear my hair in a high messy bun.How do you make the scent of your shampoo/conditioner stay in your hair for a couple hours?
It really depends on the shampoo. Buy the ones that advertise their scent and don't stand in the shower too long after you wash it out. The scent usually stays for quite a while no matter which shampoo you're using. You just can't smell it yourselfHow do you make the scent of your shampoo/conditioner stay in your hair for a couple hours?
i think it might depend also on what product you use,

try alberto balsam. i use it, it stays smelling lovely and keeps my hair nice :)

i shouldn't think having yoyur hair in a bun or not will change anything

    if it does

try having like having a test day when you keep your hair down? see how it goes, hope this helps (: xx

What kind of shampoo is the least damaging to hair?

I do a lot to my hair, like blow dry it, curl it and straighten it, and it's kinda starting to show damage now. It hasn't gone to hell or anything yet, but I was just curious what shampoo wouldn't be damaging and would maybe help it heal a little.

Thanks. What kind of shampoo is the least damaging to hair?
I would suggest using Pantene. It makes your hair smooth and silky. :)

    I would also suggest:

*letting your hair dry naturally, instead of blowdrying

    *keeping curling/straightening to a minimum.

:)What kind of shampoo is the least damaging to hair?
Try Lush shampoo bars! They are all natural and helps if you are only trying to wash the scalp and the roots. Which is all that really needs to be washed, anyways. It helped my hair so much when it was starting to show damaged from bleaching and countless dye jobs.
try Tresemme thermal recovery shampoo and conditioner, it recovers your hair and prepares ibreakagerakage, its what i use and its fabulous and it makes your hair smell great.
I make my own shampoo and conditioner it works great my hair you should come up for your own recipe

Is putting a birth control pill in your shampoo or conditioner make your hair grow?

Somebody told me that if you put birth control pills in the shampoo or conditioner it will make it grow longer.

    Is this true?

if nOt, can you tell me some VERY GOOD ways to make my hair grow longer. Is putting a birth control pill in your shampoo or conditioner make your hair grow?
No, that's extremely false. Taking pre natal vitamins makes hair/nails grow longer quickly. But thats a vitamin to take while pregnant. The only suggestion I have on how to make your hair grow longer is to get your hair trimmed very regularly. It will avoid split ends which is the reason most ladies can't grow their hair out. Also condition it a few times a week.. with both of those you will notice the length sooner. Is putting a birth control pill in your shampoo or conditioner make your hair grow?
Hair growth is determined physiologically, not by anything applied to the exposed hair shaft, which is made of dead cells.

Take very good care of your hair. Avoid straightening or blow drying any more than you have to, and I recommend using hot oil treatments occasionally as well.

This has nothing to do with making hair grow faster, but it will keep hair from splitting and looking damaged, allowing you to have your hair dusted or trimmed rather than cut to remove split ends and damage. Have hair trimmed and dusted regularly for the same reason. If hair is allowed to split in a misguided attempt to retain every fraction of an inch of hair it can break, looking fuzzy and uneven and like your hair is hardly growing at all.
No!whoever told u that was BSing u! Take good care of your hair hydrate it and take keratin supplements

  • What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy?

I have frizzy, dry, curlyish hair, it gets greasy if I don't wash it everyday. What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy? I want straighter, shiny, silky un-frizzy, and un-hideous hair.

Anybody know the best shampoo conditioner system? What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy?
well, it's expensive because it works, but you really should listen to this one. it is called:

BIOLAGE smooth therape ; it's a line of hair care. buy the whole line and you will get results in about two weeks because your hair has to get used to it. it comes with a shampoo, conditioner, and a smoothing serum which is water based, so it won't leave a film of it on your hair.

btw: if somebody tells you to use a dime sized amount of the shampoo, don't listen to them, more of the shampoo is better, and because you're hair is greasy only put the conditioner on the hair that lines up from your ears down. no scalp.

%26amp;%26amp; lastly, nobody can get straight hair with a shampoo, so straighten it, as long as you condition you will avoid split ends. get haircuts every six weeks. What shampoo/conditioner will make my hair healthy?
go for a particular hair care routine that fits your hair type

for example, i use pantene pro-v's products for dry and damaged hair :)

    it works GREAT

try going for sunsilk too; they have products that cater to specific hair types

i use their leave in conditioner which is in a pink bottle

it works like a charm! highly recommend
The new aveeno stuff works AWESOME!!!

And a tip for shinier hair is if you start your hair in warm water and wash the shampoo out and stuff and to wash the conditioner out use cool water it makes your hair shinier. Hope I helped!!!
    aveda!

try rosemary mint shampoo and conditioner, with the

    witch hazel hairspray.

herbal essences works wonders 4 me!

good luck on ur search! :)

What shampoo gets rid of greasy hair?

I get greasy hair all the time, I wash my hair- then next day its greasy again urg! What shampoo gets rid of greasy hair? What shampoo gets rid of greasy hair?
I have the same problem. I wash my hair w/ Pantene smooth %26amp; sleek (or something like that). But I alternate too which I heard is good. I use DOVE beautifly clean along w/ tresamay moisturizing shampoo/conditioner. I have HEARD that Dawn soap will help w/ OILY hair, but I wouldn't recommend using it on a daily bases. It will dry out your hair if you do. Sometimes, the volumizing shampoos dry out your hair -- I have used Redkin Body Full %26amp; it smells SOOOOOOOO GOOD!!! It dries out my hair after a while...

    Good lucK!!!

ALSO -- Make sure you are washing it THOUROULY %26amp; really good %26amp; rinsing everything out!!!What shampoo gets rid of greasy hair?
    Glover's Mane
expensive shampoo that says it'll get rid of the greasy hair
Try a shampoo that says ';clarifying'; or a dandruff shampoo. They both strip oil and products that are built up.
there are shampoos made for oily hair. it won't get rid of greasy hair, but it helps more. I've always had to wash my hair every day to keep it looking nice and not oily/greasy.
Any shampoo as long as you wash it correctly... if your using conditioner... that might be the reason for it... but try pantene pro v shampoo
I love Dove, Beautifully Clean... it leaves my hair soft without the oily sheen.
No shampoo will be able to get rid of greasy hair all the time, it naturally gets greasy. Just keep using shampoo like normal (I use Dove and it works fine) and scrub your head good with your fingertips and you should be fine.
I love using Herbal Escences - Drama Clean

    Shampoo %26amp; Conditioner

Smells awesome and gets rid of my greasy hair right away

Make Sure to leave the conditioner in for about a minute to get rid of tangle from scrubbing the shampoo in -

    Good Luck!
